All your questions, answered

Are you taking any submissions?

If it can go on stage, we will collaborate with you to help get it on stage.

I only have an idea not a show, what should I do?

That’s fine, tell us your idea and we’ll work together to see if we can help you develop it.

Is the show paid?

We aim (and succeeded last year) to pay everyone for their performance, absolutely no one who has a submission performed with us will be unpaid.

I have cis performers in my piece. Does that mean you won’t accept my piece?

We understand if a performance is already in rehearsals and has already been cast with cis performers and will not dismiss a piece solely for that. If your piece hasn’t been cast and requires cis people we can discuss the artistic intent and necessity of cis performers but encourage you to cast trans performers. We gotta help each other after all.

How do I submit a show?

Using this form!

Which charities are you supporting?
I would like to perform a full 2.30h play with 20 actors, can I do this?

We are limited by the venue and time available, if you have a full play you want to put on I suggest submitting a 10-15 minute extract for our theatre scratch night

I have a show on elsewhere already but I’d like to perform anyway. Can I?

Yes! we are absolutely happy to have people submit short parts of a pre-existing show to promote their work elsewhere. Just as long as you are trans or have trans performers in the piece.

What is the “Trans Dream Casting” night?

Anyone can submit any song, monologue, dance, whatever (between 5-15 minutes long) that they wish they would get the opportunity to perform and we let them.

Wanna put on a trans woman Hamlet? Maybe you wanna do a gender-queer performance of Beyoncé’s “If I Were a Boy”? Maybe you think Saul from Breaking bad should be a trans man? whatever you want go ahead and suggest it.

But really, ANY Submission?

Look, I’m a nerd who gets excited about sharing things, worst that will happen is we have a really interesting conversation about your ideas
